SOC Help Desk Manager

Lead Security Operations. Develop People. Protect Clients.

NetGain Technologies is seeking a SOC Manager to lead our Security Operations Center team and oversee the daily delivery of cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, and client security services.

This role combines people leadership, operational management, and hands-on security oversight. You will manage a team of SOC analysts, coordinate daily coverage, coach and develop employees, and serve as the primary escalation point for security incidents and client concerns. You'll work closely with the Director of Security Services to ensure our clients receive timely, professional, and well-documented security support.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop SOC team members through regular feedback, training, and career development.
• Manage schedules, staffing coverage, PTO requests, and daily work assignments.
• Monitor security ticket volume and ensure incidents are investigated, documented, and resolved appropriately.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex security events and operational issues. Coordinate response efforts involving clients, internal teams, and security vendors. Maintain SOC procedures, documentation, and operational standards.
• Stay current on cybersecurity threats and help translate industry developments into actionable guidance for the team.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, or IT operations.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, team lead, or employee development experience.
• Knowledge of SIEM platforms, security monitoring, networking concepts, and incident response practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications or equivalent practical experience are a plus.
