Job Title: Travel Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Travel Project Manager to lead and manage construction projects, primarily focusing on data centers throughout the Southeast. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have a proven track record in guiding project teams to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and consult with field project managers, general contractors, and owners to ensure project success.
  • Manage pre-construction, preplanning, and construction project scheduling.
  • Establish and maintain successful relationships with general contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion.
  • Take ownership and accountability for projects under your direction.
  • Solve complex problems related to project schedules and budgets.
  • Review and approve project budgets, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
  • Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors.
  • Manage project finances, including profitability and cash flow.
  • Provide indirect leadership to construction crews and resolve design conflicts.
  • Lead strategic planning, project submittal, and change order processes.
  • Implement monthly cost reports and accurate cost projections.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report any issues.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
Essential Skills
  • Strong leadership, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material management, and project management principles.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam software and Procore Management programs.
  • Mechanical knowledge and project management expertise.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction office environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of related experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with data center projects.
  • Familiarity with CAD, fabrication, and field labor resources.
  • Experience in leading large, multi-million-dollar complex construction projects.
  • Ability to train estimating staff on technical aspects of project management.
Work Environment

This role involves working on data center projects throughout the Southeast. The position requires travel and will be based in a fast-paced construction office environment. The candidate must ensure adherence to health and safety standards and maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Conyers, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
