NuAire, Inc. is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating press brake equipment in a sheet metal fabrication or metal manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC press brakes, blueprint reading, and precision metal forming is highly preferred.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Salary range: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour. Starting wage will be dependent on experience level.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical, vocational, or manufacturing certification preferred
  • Previous experience operating and setting up press brakes and sheet metal fabrication equipment
  • Experience with Amada, Accurpress, S-4, P-4, Corner Former, Apron Brake, or similar machinery preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and work instructions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate press brake and sheet metal fabrication equipment to produce components according to specifications
  • Operate machinery including Amada and Accurpress press brakes, S-4 and P-4 equipment, corner formers, and apron brakes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, tooling instructions, and production routings
  • Install, align, and adjust tooling using shims, feeler gauges, templates, and measuring devices
  • Perform precision bending, punching, shearing, and forming of sheet metal materials
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet dimensional and production requirements
  • Troubleshoot machine setup and production issues to maintain efficiency
  • Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing best practices

Required Skills:

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.

Reasoning & Problem Solving

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production facility for extended periods during the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate machinery, handle materials, adjust controls, and perform precision tasks.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials weighing 20 to 75 pounds.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting while performing machine setup and production activities.
  • Ability to repeatedly use wrists, hands, and elbows when handling tooling, operating equipment, and manipulating materials.
  • Frequent verbal communication and the ability to hear and respond to instructions, alarms, and workplace communications.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
