School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) Elementary/Pre-K

Wisconsin | ASAP Start Through End of December

Overview

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for an immediate school-based opening serving an elementary school caseload with some Pre-K students. This is a contract position with flexible hours to fit your availability.

Position Details
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Through end of December
Hours: 10–40 hours/week (flexible, based on availability)
Caseload: Elementary school, with some Pre-K
Full Caseload Size: ~35 students (if full-time)
Pay Rate: $50–$60/hour, based on experience
High Priority Need
2–3 EC (Early Childhood) Pre-K Referrals/Evaluations must be completed candidates comfortable with EC evaluations strongly preferred and prioritized
Requirements
Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current, active Wisconsin OT license (or eligibility to obtain one)
NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
Wisconsin DPI (Department of Public Instruction) license/credential for school-based practice, or willingness to obtain
Experience with pediatric/school-based OT preferred
Experience conducting EC/Pre-K evaluations and referrals highly preferred
Current CPR certification
Ability to pass background check (including caregiver background check per Wisconsin requirements)
Strong documentation skills (IEP goals, evaluation reports, progress notes)
Reliable transportation if serving multiple sites
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in a school district or educational setting
Familiarity with IDEA and IEP process
Experience with sensory processing, fine motor, and functional skill development in young children
Comfortable collaborating with teachers, related service providers, and families
