Currently seeking a Quality Inspector in a family owned foundry. Details listed below:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect finished product for conformance to customer specifications.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of castings and MPT testing, as required.
- Document any defective product and report to supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance.
- Understanding of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of a casting.
- Visualization of how something may look after it is moved or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (i.e. patterns of numbers, letters, words pictures or mathematical operations).
- Attention to quality requirements is essential.
- Must be able to read, write and follow detailed instructions.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.
- Manual Dexterity and the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm or two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.
- The ability to see details at close range (within few feet of the observer)
