As a Material Handler, you'll play a key role in keeping operations moving efficiently while developing valuable industrial and equipment operation skills.

• Operate overhead cranes to safely move large steel coils and materials.
• Drive forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Assist with machine operations, including slitters and processing equipment.
• Read work orders and prepare materials for production and shipment.
• Build skids, bundle products, and secure outgoing orders.
• Use tape measures and inspection techniques to ensure quality standards are met.
• Support multiple departments and help maintain a safe, clean work environment.

• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, steel distribution, construction, or heavy industry.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Dependable work ethic and strong attention to detail.
• Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to safety.

• Experience operating forklifts.
• Experience operating overhead cranes.
• Prior experience handling steel, metal products, or other heavy materials.
• Manufacturing or industrial production experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
