Job Description

The Production Associate assembles solar panels and related components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role uses hand tools, follows blueprints, and works closely with a team to produce high-quality solar panel assemblies that meet production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble solar panel components using a variety of hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Read and interpret blueprints and prints to correctly assemble panels according to specifications.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet daily and weekly production targets.
• Perform general production and assembly tasks as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.
• Inspect assembled components for quality, accuracy, and completeness before moving them to the next stage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity.
• Follow all manufacturing procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions consistently.
• Identify and report any issues with parts, tools, or equipment to help maintain smooth production flow.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and prints for assembly work.
• Proficiency using hand tools for mechanical assembly tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of basic production and assembly processes.
• Experience in general production, general labor, or assembly roles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality assembly work.

Work Environment

This role is based in a new manufacturing facility focused on solar panel production. The environment includes non-climate-controlled areas, with some building climate-controlled spaces, so conditions may vary with the seasons. You will work on a production floor using hand tools and standard manufacturing equipment alongside a team of associates. The schedule and shifts align with typical production operations, and you can expect an active, hands-on environment that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, SC.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
