Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Associate
Location: Rockville, MD
Pay Rate:$22–$23/hour
Contract: 18 months with potential for conversion to full-time employment

Alphanumeric is hiringBiopharmaceutical Manufacturing Associates to work onsite inRockville, MD with our long-standing life sciences client committed to improving lives through medical and pharmaceutical advancements.
This is an excellent opportunity forearly-career candidates interested in building a career in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Previous pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing experience is preferred but not required; candidates with the right education, reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Training & Work Schedule:
Selected candidates will complete approximately6 weeks of training, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Following training, associates must be willing and able to work a12-hour shift schedule, which may include:
  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
  • Weekend and rotating shift coverage as required.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Associate, you will support the production of high-quality biopharmaceutical drug substance in a safe, compliant, and reliable manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare, clean, sterilize, batch, pasteurize, filter, and deliver media and solutions used in cell culture and purification operations.
  • Set up, operate, clean, and break down manufacturing/process equipment.
  • Perform sampling procedures and use analytical instruments to evaluate cell culture, solutions, and product characteristics.
  • Operate filter-integrity equipment to confirm filter integrity before and after use.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes, equipment, and instrumentation and escalate potential issues appropriately.
  • Set up fixed and mobile process equipment withCIP (Clean-in-Place) systems to perform validated cleaning and sterilization processes.
  • Follow establishedSOPs, protocols, batch records, and logbooks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices and data-integrity requirements.
  • Follow all applicable safety policies and actively contribute to a strong safety culture.
Education & Experience:
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–1 year of directly related pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, laboratory, or similar technical experience.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures and accurately document work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness and ability to work required 12-hour/rotating shifts.
Preferred:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree inBiological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, food/beverage, chemical, medical-device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Basic exposure to ERP, automation, or digital manufacturing systems.
Employment Requirements:
Candidates must be eligible to work directly onAlphanumeric's W-2 without requiring employment sponsorship now or in the future.
