Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $35–$42/hr

Seeking a Special Education (SPED) professional to support students with Autism and other special educational needs. The candidate will provide individualized instruction, behavioral support, and classroom assistance while working with teachers, families, and school staff.

• Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with Autism.

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.

• Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet student needs.

• Implement positive behavioral support strategies.

• Monitor and document academic, behavioral, and developmental progress.

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, counselors, and school staff.

• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff meetings.

• Maintain accurate student records and documentation.

• Support students' academic, social, communication, and independent-living skills.

• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or related field.

• Valid Virginia Special Education teaching license/certification or eligibility to obtain one.

• Experience working with students with Autism preferred.

• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education practices.

• Knowledge of behavioral support strategies.

• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

• Previous school-based special education experience preferred.

• Compassionate and student-focused approach.

Pay Rate: $35–$42/hr
