Job Description
We are looking for a motivated entry-level Accountant to join a growing team. This contract opportunity is well suited for an entry-level or early-career candidate who is ready to build practical accounting experience in a hands-on environment. The position offers the chance to support core financial operations while developing skills across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with day-to-day accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices and preparing items for timely processing.
• Support accounts receivable functions by helping track incoming payments and maintaining accurate customer account records.
• Prepare and post routine accounting entries to keep financial data complete and up to date.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and help resolve outstanding items.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure accounting records are accurate and accessible.
• Work closely with accounting team members to provide coverage where needed and help manage a high-volume workload.
• Contribute to general accounting support tasks and participate in additional duties assigned to strengthen department operations.• Basic understanding of accounting principles gained through education or early hands-on experience.
• Entry-level background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent entry-level accounting experience.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliation processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial information.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams.
• Proficiency with standard business software, including spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel.
