Job Title: Sr. Quality Supervisor Location: Paterson, NJ Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0
Responsibilities
- Lead daily quality and food safety activities throughout the facility
- Monitor compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA, and company quality standards
- Conduct routine production floor inspections, line checks, and facility audits
- Review quality documentation, batch records, and sanitation logs for accuracy and compliance
- Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, customer complaints, and food safety incidents
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and follow up on implementation
- Support and prepare for customer, regulatory, and third-party audits including SQF and SMETA
- Assist with environmental monitoring, allergen control, and sanitation verification programs
- Ensure product holds, releases, and dispositions are handled according to procedures
- Partner with Operations, Warehouse, and Sanitation teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct GMP and food safety training for employees and new hires
- Monitor calibration and verification activities for quality equipment
- Maintain accurate records and ensure audit readiness at all times
- Promote a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or HSD with experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or food safety
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, FDA regulations, and food safety systems
- Previous audit experience required
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
