Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on metal components and assemblies in a high-volume production setting
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment, adjusting settings for material type and thickness
- Inspect completed welds for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with production team members to meet daily output and quality goals
- Identify and report equipment issues or weld defects to supervisors promptly
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a MIG welder in a production or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metal properties, and joint preparation
- Ability to meet production quotas while maintaining high-quality weld standards
- Familiarity with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and work in varying conditions
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
