Delivery Driver – The Bagel Shop by Fox's
Location: 360 Park Avenue, Rochester, NY Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Reports to: Kitchen Manager / Operations
Position Summary
We're looking for a reliable Delivery Driver to handle daily deliveries for catering orders, and wholesale accounts. This role is key to making sure our product arrives on time, intact, and with a great customer experience at every stop.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and deliver bagels, baked goods, and catering orders to customers, businesses, and wholesale accounts on time and in good condition
- Verify order accuracy against packing slips/tickets before leaving for deliveries
- Handle food products safely, following proper food safety and temperature-control practices during transport
- Provide friendly, professional service at every drop-off, representing Fine Bagels well to customers and accounts
- Collect payments, signatures, or delivery confirmations as needed
- Communicate delays, delivery issues, or customer concerns to the Kitchen Manager/Operations promptly
- Assist with loading/unloading and light warehouse or kitchen tasks between deliveries as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and mileage records
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Prior delivery driving experience preferred (food/bakery delivery a plus)
- Comfortable with early morning hours, including some weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong time-management and route-planning skills
- Friendly, professional demeanor with customers and business contacts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40–50 lbs (trays, boxes, catering equipment)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Familiarity with the Rochester/Brighton area a plus
Schedule
Early morning and daytime shifts, with schedule varying based on catering and wholesale delivery needs.
