About This RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teacher Assistant to join our educational team in Reno, NV. In this role, you will work closely with the lead classroom teacher to create a supportive, safe, and engaging learning environment for students. You will provide essential classroom support, assist with lesson preparation, and work directly with students to reinforce foundational learning concepts. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, patient, and eager to help every child succeed.
What You'll Do- Assist the lead teacher in delivering individual and group instruction to students.
- Help prepare lesson plans, educational materials, and daily classroom activities.
- Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch, recess, and transitions.
- Work one-on-one with students who need extra support to complete assignments.
- Help maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and a positive learning display.
- Observe student progress and communicate insights to the lead teacher.
Requirements- High school diploma or recognized equivalent certification.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting layout.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain them within 3 months.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with children and staff.
- Patience, flexibility, and physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Nice To Haves- Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or school setting.
