Seeking an experienced Medical Coder to review clinical documentation and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes and modifiers for billing, reporting, and compliance purposes.

• Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results.

• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes.

• Assign appropriate CPT-4 procedure codes and modifiers.

• Apply official coding guidelines.

• Review medical records for completeness and accuracy.

• Ensure codes accurately reflect documented diagnoses and procedures.

• Support billing and reimbursement processes.

• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies.

• Provide coded data for reporting and research requirements.

• Maintain compliance with coding standards and regulations.

• Communicate with coding management and healthcare staff regarding documentation and coding questions.

• Maintain accuracy and consistency in coding activities.

• Previous Medical Coding experience required.

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4.

• Knowledge of CPT modifiers.

• Understanding of official coding guidelines.

• Experience reviewing clinical documentation.

• Strong medical terminology knowledge.

• Understanding of healthcare billing and reimbursement.

• Knowledge of coding compliance and regulatory requirements.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
