Position Summary:The Warehouse Repacker/ Driver Check In is responsible to ensure that when drivers return from their routes that all their paperwork has been filled out correctly, trucks are checked for any damages, product being returned has been coded correctly, and that all post delivery requirements are met. This person will also continue to perform routing of orders, dispatch 2nd runs, and back up the person that receives the driver’s paperwork for reconciling customer invoices.

What you’ll do:

  • Work schedule may vary and will be set by the Transportation Manger daily, weekly, monthly;
  • Responsible for checking drivers in from routes reviewing all paperwork/invoices for correct information;
  • Will conduct post inspection of vehicles with the driver checking for any damages, cleanliness, and any repairs needed as outlined on the driver’s post inspection report;
  • Responsible for checking returns and determining what product is damaged, can be restocked, or what needs to be rerun to go back into inventory;
  • Directs drivers where pallets are to be returned and where product returns go (QC to be notified);
  • Will conduct interviews with the drivers finding out if their loads were sequenced correctly and if issues with product, as well as prospects for potential customers;
  • A checklist will be reviewed with driver daily regarding customer satisfaction, service, quality and any other pertinent information the customer may share (this daily drill will become a norm setting the mind set of asking customers questions and having ready answers at the time of check in);
  • Instructs the driver to report to the transportation office for further assignments prior to departure;
  • Responsible for posting information provided from the drivers manifest, invoices, or any other information needed into thyme system;
  • When not checking drivers in will perform additional duties: route 2nd runs, load trucks for dispatched routes, filing of reports, posting various information into produce pro, send trucks for PM’s, and other various functions as assigned;

Will also be the back-up person for receiving drivers paperwork, working with accounting reconciling invoices, credits, invoice register, and disposition of checks and cash, again to accounting.
