Accounting Manager/Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced accounting specialist to join a growing organization in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position will oversee core accounting activities, support accurate financial reporting, and help strengthen processes across a multi-entity environment. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to budgeting, analysis, and operational improvements while partnering with leadership in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly closing activities, ensuring journal entries, schedules, and supporting documentation are completed accurately and on time.

• Reconcile bank accounts, cash activity, and balance sheet accounts while investigating and correcting variances or outstanding items.

• Analyze financial results and prepare reports that provide leadership with clear insights into business performance.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts by reviewing prior-period results, spending patterns, and operational trends.

• Distribute shared costs appropriately across multiple entities and locations in accordance with accounting guidelines.

• Assist with tax-related reporting requirements, including support for property tax filings and related compliance tasks.

• Participate in onboarding acquired businesses by aligning accounting records and helping standardize financial procedures.

• Partner with finance leadership to enhance workflows, maintain organized records, and respond to audit support requests as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong exposure to general ledger activity and close processes.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare reconciliations, post journal entries, and support accurate financial reporting.
• Strong Excel capabilities, including the use of PivotTables, lookup functions, and large data sets.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently in a dynamic, multi-entity business environment.
• Effective communication and analytical skills with a track record of identifying and resolving accounting issues.
• Experience with financial audits, budgeting support, or business integration activities is highly valued.
