Role overview New Kensington, PA
Own the blending process from inbound raw materials to outbound finished product. You’ll receive chemicals by tanker truck, railcar, and barge; execute blends to formula; verify quality; and ship finished goods. Safety, housekeeping, and documentation are non-negotiable.
Pay
- Blender (Entry Level): $24.00/hour no experience needed
- Blender I: $26.00/hour Wash/Anti-Freeze experience preferred
- Blender II: $28.00/hour barge certified; trained across all blending functions
- Blender Lead: $30.00/hour barge certified with leadership duties
- Shift Differential: +$1.00/hour for second shift
Schedule
- Training: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- After Training: 3:15 PM–11:45 PM
- Monday–Friday
What you’ll do
- Blend to batch formulas and production plans.
- Sample, test, and confirm product specifications.
- Record raw material usage, lot numbers, and production metrics.
- Receive bulk materials from trucks, railcars, and barges.
- Load finished products into tanker trucks and other transport equipment.
- Operate forklifts and related material-handling equipment safely.
- Inspect tanks, piping, and equipment for readiness and performance.
- Maintain thorough production records.
- Troubleshoot process or quality issues with the team.
- Follow all safety, PPE, and environmental procedures.
- Uphold housekeeping standards.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Manufacturing/production/chemicalprocessing/industrial experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification.
- Basic computer skills.
- Keen attention to detail and safety.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Effective communicator and problem-solver.
- Works well solo and collaboratively.
Physical requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
- Comfortable in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Ability to wear PPE and handle chemical products safely.
