Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to take on the position of COHE (Center of Occupational Health and Education) Director & Clinic Manager. This is a dual leadership role responsible for oversight of the COHE program and contractual deliverables, as well as the day-to-day operational management of the clinic.
The COHE Program Director/Health Service Coordinator and Clinic Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, manage contract deliverables, supervise and train Health Services Coordinators and assistants, coordinate provider recruitment and training, maintain communication with key stakeholders, and ensure required reports, meetings, budgets, and quality improvement activities are completed on schedule.
The position also provides broad oversight of clinic operations, including hiring and managing staff, developing onboarding and training protocols, improving workflows, addressing patient care and safety gaps, supporting billing and payment follow-up, and building relationships across clinics and health systems in the Puget Sound region. Prior experience working in a COHE is required. The ideal candidate is an organized, collaborative leader with strong operational, communication, and problem-solving skills who can support both program growth and high-quality clinic performance.
Duties:
COHE Program Director
Recruit, supervise, train and support Health Services Coordinators (HSCs) and/or Health Service Coordinator Assistants.
Monitor COHE contractual performance measures and program outcomes; review program and provider performance data; identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement; and develop and implement strategies to support achievement of contractual requirements and quality goals.
Serve as a key operational point of contact with Labor & Industries regarding COHE contract requirements, deliverables, reporting, performance measures and ongoing program initiatives
Operate the COHE program and meet the deliverables outlined by Labor and Industries. These deliverables include:
Manage the budget for the operation of the entire COHE program and track payments made by L&I through Valley Medical Center.
Maintain working knowledge of Health Service Coordinator functions. Provide HSC operational support/coverage as program needs require particularly in the first year of operation.
Clinic Manager
Provide strategic leadership to ensure the clinic operates efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA.
Oversee daily clinic operations, including patient management, medical records, billing, and administrative support using EMR/EHR - Athenahealth.
Develop and implement a marketing strategy to expand awareness of the clinic to health systems and clinics in the Puget Sound region.
Work closely with all clinician partners and clinicians and clinic staff to promote a positive and nurturing work environment with a focus on excellence in patient care and clinic efficiency.
Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing processes, and resource allocation to optimize practice profitability.
Ensure adherence to health regulation policies and compliance standards across all operational areas.
Lead human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, staff development, and managing team communication.
Implement quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, customer service excellence, and clinical outcomes.
