Continuous Improvement Manager

Gateway Group Personnel has been exclusively engaged by an established industrial manufacturer to identify a Continuous Improvement Manager for its Gadsden, Alabama facility.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an accomplished Continuous Improvement professional who enjoys working directly with plant leadership and employees to improve performance and build a sustainable Lean culture. The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead initiatives designed to deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, efficiency and throughput while driving engagement throughout the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement operational excellence and continuous improvement strategies tied directly to plant KPIs.
- Facilitate data-driven Kaizen events to identify constraints, eliminate waste and deliver sustainable improvements.
- Develop and execute improvement plans with clear ownership, timelines and measurable results.
- Build and strengthen a Lean culture throughout the facility, engaging employees from the shop floor through plant leadership.
- Develop tools and metrics supporting improvements in efficiency, throughput, capacity and manufacturing cost.
- Develop business cases supporting improvement projects and capital initiatives.
- Teach and coach Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools throughout the organization.
- Support equipment feasibility studies and implementation of capital projects.
- Partner closely with plant leadership to drive change, accountability and sustained operating improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years of Continuous Improvement experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience leading meaningful Continuous Improvement initiatives in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Daily Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, 5S, Kanban, TPM, SMED and waste reduction.
- Proven ability to lead change and gain engagement across all levels of a manufacturing organization.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to turn opportunities into measurable results.
- Strong communication, facilitation and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Business, Operations or a related discipline preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
Compensation
$110,000–$120,000 base salary + 10% annual incentive opportunity
This is an on-site position in Gadsden, Alabama.
