POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, the Dive Coach, from October through May 2027, is responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive diving program that fosters a safe, positive, and engaging environment. This role focuses on teaching proper dive techniques, building diver confidence, and growing participation from beginner to competitive levels.
SCHEDULE: Thursday 5:30-7:00p & Saturday 9:00a-12:00p

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Phillips Academy Aquatics Centerfeatures a 25-yard competition pool that serves as the home venue for Andover’s swimming, diving, and water polo programs. The pool can be configured with eight competition lanes or 13 practice lanes, providing flexibility for training, competition, instructional swim lessons, and recreational programming. It is also home to New England’s only full-sized high school water polo course.
This state-of-the-art facility includes adjustable starting blocks, two 1-meter diving boards with a dedicated diving area, an OMEGA Swiss Timing System for competitive events, and on-deck spectator seating for more than 300 guests. While the pool is utilized by Phillips Academy’s aquatics teams throughout the year, the Aquatics Center is expanding its offerings to include community recreation programs, diving instruction, lifeguard certification courses, competitive swim training, and swim lessons for participants of all ages and abilities.
