Qualifications
- 3 years experience directly related to the duties or mechanics school graduate (Heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions)
- Must have a valid driver's license, Class A or B commercial driver's license preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have the ability to drive standard and automatic transmission trucks.
- Must have the ability to read technical manuals and understand schematic diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance to fleet equipment.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using diagnostic equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, brakes, and steering problems.
- Perform all maintenance operations in accordance with technical specifications, safety, federal and state regulations.
