What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, resolving service issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound customer calls regarding orders, service inquiries, updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct outbound follow-up calls and emails to ensure timely resolution of customer concerns.
  • Handle approximately 40-50 customer interactions per day.
  • Provide accurate service and pricing information to customers and sales representatives.
  • Assist customers with inquiries related to residential, commercial, roll-off, front-load, rotator, and other service offerings.
  • Manage escalated calls and emails with professionalism and urgency.
  • Coordinate with customer service, dispatch, and sales teams to resolve service-related concerns.
  • Assist the sales team with contract processing, invoicing, and special projects.
  • Communicate effectively with municipalities and business customers through written correspondence.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (retail, restaurant, hospitality, property management, or office environments welcome).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to demonstrate empathy while remaining action-oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook.
  • Typing speed of 45+ WPM.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Training & Work Environment

You'll join a supportive customer care team consisting of management, supervisors, customer service representatives, and administrative staff. New hires receive approximately one month of training through a combination of:

  • Structured workbook learning
  • Job shadowing
  • Side-by-side coaching
  • Hands-on customer support experience
Schedule

Full-Time | 45 Hours Per Week

Available shifts include:

  • 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Potential flexibility for an 8:00 AM start time

Monday-Friday

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
