Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Machine Operator - 2nd Shift at our Saegertown, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. In this entry-level role, you will learn to operate production equipment, support quality and safety standards, and complete routine manufacturing tasks with structured hands-on training and guidance.

  • Location: Saegertown, PA

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 2nd Shift

  • Pay: $18/hour

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

What You'll Do as a Machine Operator
  • Participate in structured training on machine operation, workplace safety, and quality standards.

  • Assist with loading and unloading raw materials and packaging finished goods.

  • Perform routine production tasks such as cleaning work areas, monitoring gauges, and replenishing supplies.

  • Learn and practice the safe use of basic measurement tools and inspection methods under supervision.

  • Follow standard work instructions and established procedures with appropriate oversight.

  • Identify and promptly report safety hazards, unusual sounds, equipment concerns, or other issues to supervisors.

  • Maintain tools and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.

  • Follow applicable safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

  • No prior manufacturing experience is required.

  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills.

  • Basic math, reading, and communication skills.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role involves regularly standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods. The position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing approximately 35 to 50 pounds.

Employees in this role use manual dexterity to handle tools, materials, and small parts and need visual acuity for monitoring gauges and performing basic inspection tasks.

The manufacturing environment may include noise, vibration, dust, oil, and temperature variations. Required personal protective equipment must be worn as applicable.
