JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Systems Administratoris responsible forthe maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. This role involves ensuring that the availability of systems ismaintained, performance isoptimized, and that issues are promptly resolved. The Sr. Systems Administrator will also oversee system installations, upgrades, and configurations, while ensuring system security and compliance with organizational policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

System Management:

  • Manage andmaintainWindows and Linux servers, ensuringoptimalperformance and uptime.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implementfixesas necessary.

Configuration and Deployment:

  • Install and configure new hardware and software, ensuring proper setup and integration into existing systems.
  • Develop and implement system configuration standards and documentation for future reference.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data andmaintaincompliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with organizational security policies.

Backup and Recovery:

  • Establish andmaintainbackup procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct periodic testing of recovery procedures.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with IT teams and departments to understand system requirements and provide support as needed.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolvingissuesand providing training as necessary.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance system performance and security.
  • Identifyopportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the systems administration function.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ora relatedfield.

· Experience:

o 5+ years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on managing servers and applications in a corporate environment.

o Proven experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).

o Strong understanding of network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.).

o Familiarity with security best practices and experience in implementing security measures.
