Staff Accountant Exciting Opportunity in Fort Worth, TX!

This position offers a fantastic chance to leverage your accounting expertise within a government contracting environment, supporting month-end closes, intercompany reconciliations, and financial reporting. What Youll Do:

  • Support accounting activities across diverse corporate entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial records.
  • Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations, resolving discrepancies to maintain integrity.
  • Process intercompany billings and assist with cross-entity cost allocations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support consolidated financial reporting and elimination entries.
  • Review balance sheet and income statement activities for accuracy.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analyses.
  • Maintain supporting documentation consistent with accounting standards, especially related to government contracting (FAR and CAS).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to resolve accounting issues and support additional projects as needed.

Required Skills:

  • 24 years of professional corporate accounting experience.
  • Strong background in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end closes.
  • Experience with multi-entity and intercompany transactions.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and government contracting accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Independent worker capable of prioritizing multiple tasks under deadlines.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with FAR and CAS requirements.
  • Prior work in government contracting or GovCon environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of budget, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 24 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in multi-entity settings.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to support additional accounting responsibilities as needed.
  • Prior ERP experience is a plus.
