Summary
Keltec is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Master Scheduler to support our manufacturing and distribution operations. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure efficient workflow, on-time delivery, and alignment with customer demand. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and brings experience in manufacturing planning and ERP systems.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, inventory levels, and capacity
- Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, and distribution teams to ensure alignment across operations
- Balance production efficiency with customer delivery requirements
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or changes
- Ensure optimal utilization of labor, equipment, and materials
- Inventory & Demand Alignment
- Analyze demand forecasts, order trends, and inventory levels to ensure accurate planning
- Partner with procurement to ensure raw materials are available to meet production schedules
- Minimize stockouts and excess inventory through proactive planning and adjustments
- Support cycle counting and inventory accuracy initiatives
- ERP & Data Management
- Maintain accurate production data, schedules, and order status in ERP system (NetSuite or similar)
- Track key planning metrics such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and production output
- Generate reports and provide insights to leadership on operational performance
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison between production, customer service, purchasing, and leadership teams
- Communicate schedule changes, risks, and constraints clearly and proactively
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and operational efficiency
QualificationsRequired
- 5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of capacity planning and demand forecasting
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
