Soap Detailing is hiring a time detailer for our shops in Irvine and Costa Mesa. The role covers hand washing, interior cleaning, polishing, and prep work on a wide range of vehicles, with a focus on doing the job right rather than rushing it out the door. Experience is a plus, but we're prepared to train the right person. What matters most is reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Job Duties
- Hand wash and dry vehicles using proper two bucket and safe drying methods
- Clean wheels, tires, and wheel wells, then apply tire and trim dressing
- Full interior cleaning including vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, and glass
- Shampoo and steam clean carpets, mats, and upholstery as needed
- Clay bar, polish, and assist with paint correction work
- Prep vehicles for ceramic coating applications
- Apply waxes, sealants, and protective products
- Perform final quality checks before customer pickup
- Keep the shop, tools, and equipment clean and organized throughout the day
- Follow set processes so every car leaves at the same standard
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving both automatic and manual vehicles
- Able to stand, bend, and move around vehicles for the length of a shift
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Willingness to learn our process and take direction
- Detail oriented with a good eye for missed spots
