BEPC is actively seeking an Assembler Associate II in the Abbott Park, IL area!

W2 Contract: 12 months with possible extensions
Pay Rate: $19.00–$22.50/hr, based on experience
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance
Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Position Summary

The Assembler Associate II will support production operations involving the aseptic filling and labeling of bottles and vials. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, shutting down, and cleaning filling and labeling equipment while maintaining strict GMP and ISO standards.

The role includes working in an ISO 7 controlled environment, completing product inspections and quality checks, maintaining detailed electronic and hard-copy documentation, replenishing production materials, and supporting general production activities.

The ideal candidate has previous GMP manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment while maintaining product quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow established GMP procedures and work instructions without deviation.
  • Set up, operate, shut down, and clean aseptic filling equipment within an ISO 7 environment.
  • Operate labeling and other production equipment within a Controlled Non-Classified (CNC) environment.
  • Operate and monitor multiple pieces of production equipment simultaneously.
  • Proactively monitor production activities and clear minor equipment jams to minimize downtime.
  • Immediately report abnormal equipment operation, product concerns, or quality issues.
  • Perform filling, labeling, inspection, and other production activities according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Complete work orders, production records, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible electronic and hard-copy records.
  • Inspect products and materials to verify acceptable visual and physical appearance.
  • Perform basic production-related mathematical calculations.
  • Maintain and replenish materials required for production.
  • Follow equipment safety requirements and promptly report incidents, injuries, and potential hazards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and complete general housekeeping activities.
  • Follow required gowning procedures, including the use of hoods, coveralls, shoe covers, and other required PPE.
  • Support production activities outside the primary assigned work area as needed.
  • Maintain GMP and quality standards throughout all production activities.
  • Contribute positively to team performance, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through email.
  • Utilize computer-based systems, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and production-specific software.
  • Use problem-solving skills and sound judgment to address production issues while maintaining quality and compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Previous manufacturing experience in an environment adhering to ISO standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry, inventory software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
  • Ability and willingness to gown appropriately for work in a controlled/clean environment.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
