Machinist II
Franklin Park, IL | Full-Time | First Shift
Pay: $35-$42/hour (based on experience)
Muck Engineering has been solving industrial machining and repair challenges for more than 75
years. We specialize in repairing and manufacturing custom shafts, rollers, blower components,
pump shafts, and other precision machined parts for customers throughout the Midwest.
Unlike high-volume production shops, every day at Muck Engineering is different. You'll work on
one-of-a-kind repair projects, reverse engineer worn components, machine tight-tolerance parts,
and help solve problems that keep our customers running.
We're looking for an experienced machinist who enjoys challenging work, takes pride in

What You'll Do
Setup and operate CNC lathes independently
Program using conversational programming
Read and interpret blueprints and customer drawings
Hold tight tolerances on precision machined parts
Perform first article and in-process inspections
Reverse engineer worn or damaged components
Machine shafts, rollers, pump components, blower components, and repair parts
Make tooling and program adjustments to improve efficiency
Work closely with engineering and customers to solve machining challenges
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Preferred Qualifications
We're looking for experienced machinists who can work independently.
Ideal candidates will have:
5+ years CNC lathe setup experience
Strong blueprint reading skills
Experience holding tight tolerances
Ability to use precision measuring equipment
Experience with conversational controls
Strong troubleshooting skills
Pride in producing quality work
