What’s a typical day as Installer? You’ll be:
  • Installing ceramic-fiber blanket and board inside welded steel oven cabinets and combustion chambers.
  • Measuring, cutting, and fitting two-layer 2,300°ree;F-rated ceramic-fiber blankets to walls, ceilings, and doors.
  • Pinning, stud-welding, or mechanically fastening insulation, ensuring tight seams without gaps or voids.
  • Fitting and seating tadpole gaskets at door openings and cam-lock sealing surfaces.
  • Cutting openings for burner ports, thermocouples, stack penetrations, and access points.
  • Verifying layer thickness and full coverage while maintaining material integrity.
  • Handling and storing ceramic-fiber materials to prevent damage.
  • Managing fiber scrap and dust, keeping the work area clean and organized.
  • Wearing required PPE at all times and reporting defects, shortages, or drawing discrepancies.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Can accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 inch and use basic arithmetic including fractions.
  • Are able to lift 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Are comfortable working inside oven cabinets and can stand, kneel, and reach for a full shift.
  • Are able to work around airborne insulation particles and in a loud warehouse environment.
  • Can consistently wear a mask, gloves, and eye protection for extended periods.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
