JOB OVERVIEW:

We areseekinga highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineerto join our dynamic team.In this role, you will play a crucial part inoptimizingour manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the production of high-quality componentsThis role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams toensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes for newand existing products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Process Development:Develop,optimize, and standardizeprocesses, tooling/ fixturing,andequipmentfor newand legacyproducts, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.Developsmanufacturing procedures, methods, andstandards;andmonitorstheir proper execution.Responsible for new product introductions including routed processes, BOM's, In-Process drawings, gaging and including the design/procurement/manufacture of special tooling.Works proactivelytopreventproblems andpreparesfor upcoming jobs in advance of their scheduled start dates.
    • CNC:Demonstratea comprehensive understanding of CNC machine operations and the specific applications of various machines toeffectively and accurately develop processes.
    • Equipment Selection:Select and recommendappropriate machiningequipment,tooling, andfixturingto supportall departments and processes.
    • Fixture Design:Design and implement fixtures and tooling toimprove part accuracy, reduce setup times,and enhance overall productivity.
    • Process Validation:Conduct process validation and capability studies to verifyrobustnessand reliability. Implement quality control measures tomonitorand maintain product quality. Analyze production data toidentifyand address quality issues. Collaborate withQAteam to ensure compliance with customer requirementsand industry standards.
    • Documentation:Create andmaintaindetailed process documentation, including work instructions, routings, and quality plans.Developandmaintainstandard operating procedures and training guides.
    • Continuous Improvement:Identifyand implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.Take aleadership role in Set-up reduction.Stayup to datewith the latest advancements inmanufacturingtechnology and practices.
    • Collaboration:Work closely with design engineers,manufacturing engineers,quality engineers, andmanufacturingpersonnel to ensure smooth product launch.Incorporate feedback fromprototype andproduction runs to correct job standards and work instructions.
    • Problem Solving:Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Other:Perform other related duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • A bachelor's degreein engineeringor equivalent jobexperienceisrequired.
    • A minimum of5yearsof direct experience in CNCprogramming,setup,andoperating.
    • Understanding of CNC machining.
    • Understanding of secondary processes like heat treat, plating, and NDT.
    • CAD skills are required– Siemens NX is a plus.
    • CAM skills recommended
    • ERP – familiarity with an ERP software (M2M preferred)
    • Strong GD&T skills are required.
    • Understanding of different types of materials for processing.
    • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis.
    • Microsoft Office skills are required.
    • Knowledge of AS9100 standards is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
    • Knowledge of the 8-D problem solving method is a plus.
    • Strong interpersonal skills are needed.
    • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including thebackground, education, training,and experience required, as well as geographicconsiderations such as cost of labor, and applicable local andstate laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position istypically $86,000- $129,000annually. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.Bonus,gainshare, and/or equitymay be eligible for this position.Enpro offers a range of benefits including, butnotlimited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplementalinsurance options.
