We are looking for a dependable Logistics Clerk to support overnight dispatch operations in Georgetown, Kentucky. This contract position with the potential to become permanent is ideal for someone who works well in a fast-paced logistics environment and can manage communication, coordination, and data accuracy across multiple shipments. The schedule for this role is Tuesday through Saturday on 2nd shift, and candidates must be willing to work additional weekend overtime when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate overnight dispatch activities to keep freight movements organized and on schedule.

• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve shipment questions and delivery issues.

• Enter load details, shipment updates, and operational records into company systems with a high level of accuracy.

• Monitor shipping and receiving activity to ensure timely processing and proper documentation.

• Provide customer support by answering calls, sharing status updates, and addressing service concerns professionally.

• Track transportation activity and follow up on delays, route changes, or service exceptions to maintain efficient operations.

• Maintain organized records related to freight, dispatch activity, and carrier communications.

• Assist with weekend overtime coverage as business demands require.

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation support.
• Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Background in the logistics, distribution, shipping, or receiving environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with freight carriers, drivers, customers, and internal staff.
• Customer service experience in a call center or high-volume phone-based setting is preferred.
• Comfortable working 3rd shift from Tuesday through Saturday.
• Flexibility to work overtime on weekends when operational needs increase.
