We are looking for a detail-oriented entry-level Accountant to support core accounting activities for a manufacturing organization in Pennsylvania. This role contributes to daily financial operations by helping maintain accurate records, supporting reporting cycles, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable handling both transactional accounting tasks and general administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Support billing activities by preparing customer invoices, tracking sales-related documentation, and coordinating with warehouses, customers, and internal teams to resolve transaction questions.
• Contribute to accounts payable operations by processing vendor invoices, assisting with payment activities, reconciling account details, and maintaining supplier records, including onboarding new vendors.
• Review employee expense submissions to confirm policy compliance, coding accuracy, and appropriate financial classification.
• Help complete bank account reconciliations on a monthly basis and investigate discrepancies as needed.
• Compile recurring financial reports on a weekly and monthly schedule to support visibility into business performance.
• Prepare and record journal entries while helping maintain the accuracy of general ledger activity.
• Assist with the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and related financial documents in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close activities by organizing support files and completing assigned accounting tasks on schedule.
• Provide requested documentation and account support for internal and external audit processes.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and leadership while also handling administrative tasks that support departmental goals.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in an accounting support role.
• Working knowledge of general ledger activity, journal entries, and standard accounting procedures.
• Experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks.
• Familiarity with corporate tax concepts, sales tax, and corporate tax return support is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review financial data for accuracy and proper classification.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting systems, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both internal departments and external business contacts.
