Eagle Point Nursing & Rehabilitation is a premier, long-term care facility, that caters to our neighbors and Clinton County-area seniors, providing that at-home touch to families and friends that need our care. What You'll Do:
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressures, temperatures, pulse rates, and respiration rates report and changes to the appropriate staff members
- Document and report information pertaining to changes in residents’ condition, behavior, personal needs, and appointments to the nursing staff.
- Encourage socialization among residents and promote activities, assisting with activities as requested
- Maintain a safe, home-like, and pleasant environment for residents
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including changing bed linens and tidying patient rooms
- Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel
- Practice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools, and utensils
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
- Assist with medication management and administration, as directed by a healthcare professional
What We're Looking For:We're looking for someone who:
- Active CNA License in Iowa, or transferrable to Iowa
- Current CPR/BLS certification (CPR certification offered bi-annually)
- Positive attitude, empathy, and the ability to lead by example
- Strong assessment and time-management skills
- Genuine passion for working with older adults
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- CNA Licensure
Experience:
- One (1) year experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary, will train the right candidate).
- Entry Level (0-2 years)
