General Laborer

This role involves performing a variety of general labor tasks on a commercial construction job site. You support site operations by keeping the area clean, organized, and safe, and by assisting with material handling and debris removal as directed by site leadership.

• Perform general labor duties on a commercial construction site as directed by site supervisors.
• Sweep floors and work areas to maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Carry, move, and stage construction materials to designated locations.
• Assist with site clean up, including removal and disposal of debris.
• Support various construction activities by performing basic tasks as needed.
• Follow all site safety rules and procedures while working around active construction.
• Remain flexible and willing to take on any duties associated with construction general labor and debris clean up.

• Previous experience working on a commercial construction site.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
• Willingness to perform a wide range of general labor and debris clean up duties.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in an active construction environment.

• Familiarity with basic construction site practices and safety expectations.
• Reliability and punctuality for early morning start times.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work cooperatively with a construction team.

This position is based on a new children's hospital construction site in Tacoma, WA. You work in an active commercial construction environment with ongoing building activities, equipment movement, and material handling. The schedule runs approximately from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., requiring comfort with early morning starts and full-day shifts on your feet. The setting involves exposure to typical construction site conditions, including noise, dust, and outdoor or partially enclosed work areas, and you are expected to follow all site safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment as required.

This is a Contract position based out of Tacoma, WA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
