Location: Tea, SD

Pay: $22-$27/hour

Hours: Various Shifts Available

This role focuses on setting up and operating a variety of metal fabrication machines to produce high-quality components for generator systems used in data centers. You will read and interpret drawings and cut lists, measure and record material usage, and follow established quality guidelines to ensure precise and consistent production results.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and cut lists to determine material requirements and fabrication steps.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines, including laser cutters, punch presses, brake presses, shears, flame cutters, and saws.
• Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances.
• Record and monitor material usage to support inventory control and production tracking.
• Follow all established quality guidelines and procedures to maintain consistent product standards.
• Use basic hand tools and power tools, including grinders, to prepare and finish parts as needed.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and cut lists.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating fabricating machines such as laser cutters, punch presses, brake presses, shears, flame cutters, and saws.
• Ability to accurately use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Competence with basic hand tools and power tools, including grinders.
• Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with fractions.

Work Environment:

The role is based in a busy manufacturing environment that can become hot during the summer months. You will work around large fabrication equipment, structural steel, and sheet metal, alongside a sizable workforce of hundreds of employees in a facility that is continuing to expand. The setting is fast-paced and production-focused, with an emphasis on safety, teamwork, and adaptability as the organization grows from approximately 600 employees toward 800 in the coming years.

This is a Permanent position based out of Tea, SD.

The pay range for this position is $48484.80 - $54080.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
