About the Role: Journey to Thrive ILS is looking for a passionate and dedicated ILS Instructor to join our team in El Cerrito, CA. Responsibilities:- Provide individualized Independent Living Skills (ILS) instruction to clients in home and community settings
- Develop and implement personalized service plans to support client goals and promote self-sufficiency
- Teach daily living skills including budgeting, meal preparation, personal hygiene, and community navigation
- Document client progress, maintain accurate case notes, and submit timely reports
- Collaborate with regional centers, support teams, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Transport and accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed
- Advocate for client rights and promote inclusion within the community
Requirements:- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or related populations
- Knowledge of Independent Living Skills (ILS) instruction and person-centered planning
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in social services or related field preferred
