Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join a manufacturing team and take responsibility for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines. In this role, you will bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to precise specifications while ensuring high quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up press brake machines and related equipment according to job specifications and production requirements.
• Operate press brake and CNC press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components with precision.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances, and forming requirements for each job.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Apply math skills to calculate bend allowances, angles, and dimensions required for accurate fabrication.
• Perform routine checks and adjustments on machines to maintain optimal performance and product quality.
• Operate related machinery, such as CNC machines and punch presses, as needed to support production.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and consistency, and make necessary adjustments to maintain standards.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with team members to meet production goals.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience operating a press brake or similar CNC equipment.
• Proficiency in operating press brake machines and CNC press brake systems.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Ability to accurately use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers for precise measurement.
• Solid math skills to support accurate setup, bending, and fabrication work.
• Experience with machine operation, including CNC machines and punch presses.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to quality, precision, and safety in all aspects of work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of CNC machine styles is highly beneficial.
• Experience in general machine operation within a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills for adjusting setups and resolving production issues.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment, processes, and technologies.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean manufacturing environment focused on safety, organization, and efficiency. This position is on the second shift, running from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., supporting consistent production schedules. The role involves regular use of press brakes, CNC equipment, and precision measuring tools in a structured, shop-floor setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiram, GA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
