CNC Precision Grinder (2nd Shift)

Kamaticsis seeking an experienced Abrasive Machinist - Precision Grinder (2nd Shift) to support production operations by performing complex grinding processes to tight aerospace tolerances. This role is critical to ensuring the precision and quality of our high-performance bearing components.

• Independently set up, adjust, and operate OD and ID grinding equipment
• Select and apply appropriate grinding wheels based on material type, tolerance, and finish requirements
• Perform wheel dressing and adjustments to maintain precision and surface integrity
• Execute form grinding and complex setups on aerospace components
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements to meet tight tolerances and surface finish specs
• Troubleshoot issues related to surface finish, chatter, and wheel performance
• Select workholding methods, speeds, feeds, and machine parameters
• Partner cross-functionally to meet quality and delivery targets

• 4+ years of hands-on grinding experience (OD, ID, or centerless) in a precision manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of grinding wheel selection, composition, and dressing techniques
• Ability to perform independent grind setups
• Experience working to tight tolerances in aerospace or high-precision environments
• Solid understanding of shop math and GD&T

• Experience with form grinding or honing
• Aerospace or bearing manufacturing background
