Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an outpatient cardiac rhythm management setting, focusing on patients with implanted cardiac devices
- Perform device interrogation and management for pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and implanted loop recorders
- Monitor patient status, interpret rhythm data, and coordinate appropriate interventions and documentation in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with cardiology teams to support device checks, patient education, and follow-up care for adults 18 and older
- Demonstrate knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and CRM technology; operate with independence in routine device management and clinic procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols during clinic activities
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Vermont (or eligible for licensure)
- BLS certification required
- Pacemaker/ICD technician program or equivalent job experience required
- EPIC EMR experience within the last 2 years
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology
- Ability to work in an outpatient device clinic environment and handle independent technical aspects of CRM devices
- Education: RN degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred)
Certifications and Education
- Certifications: BLS required; pacemaker/ICD technician program or equivalent
- Education: RN degree (associate degree or higher)
Experience
- Experience with cardiac rhythm management and CRM devices is required or strongly preferred
- EPIC experience within the last 2 years is required
