Job Title: Solderer Assembler

Pay: $18-21/hr based on experience

Shift: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday + Overtime

Location: Fairfield, NJ

Responsibilities

• Solder electronic components onto PCBs using both through-hole and surface mount techniques.
• Perform repair and rework on PCBs while maintaining high quality and reliability standards.
• Carry out detailed electronic assembly tasks following established procedures and industry standards.
• Work at an individual workstation, spending the majority of the day under a microscope to complete fine-pitch and precision soldering.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and documentation to ensure accurate component placement and soldering.
• Apply and adhere to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 soldering standards in all assembly and repair work.
• Inspect solder joints and assemblies under a microscope to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all applicable safety and quality guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly or soldering issues when needed.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in soldering within an electronic manufacturing assembly environment.
• Strong proficiency in soldering through-hole and surface mount components on PCBs.
• Experience performing PCB repair and rework using industry-standard techniques.
• Ability to work for extended periods under a microscope to complete fine-detail assembly tasks.
• IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 solder certification.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and related technical documentation.
• Solid understanding of electronic assembly practices and quality standards.
• Attention to detail and steady hand for precise soldering work.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fairfield, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
