We are seeking an experienced Generator Service Manager to oversee our generator service department, technicians, scheduling, customer service, and daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and dispatch generator service technicians.
- Schedule maintenance, repairs, and emergency service calls.
- Oversee troubleshooting and repairs of standby generators and transfer switches.
- Assist technicians with difficult technical issues.
- Communicate with customers and provide repair recommendations and estimates.
- Manage parts, inventory, service vehicles, and equipment.
- Monitor job progress, service quality, and technician performance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
- Coordinate with installation, sales, and office staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with standby generators.
- Service management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and transfer switches.
- Experience with Generac, Kohler, Cummins, or similar generators preferred.
- Knowledge of propane and natural gas systems.
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work occasional after-hours or emergency calls.
