About the Position

The Diez Group Kansas City specializes in steel and aluminum coil blanking for automotive stamping. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to inspect finished products, verify specifications, and support quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer and company specifications.
• Perform quality checks using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Follow work instructions, control plans, and quality procedures.
• Identify, document, and report quality issues or defects.
• Verify product dimensions, appearance, and overall conformance.
• Assist with investigating and resolving quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
• Support production teams with quality-related questions and requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred.
• Experience with measuring tools and inspection equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, organized, and safety-focused.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Heavy industrial steel/aluminum manufacturing environment. PPE is required on the plant floor. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working around production equipment. Position requires the ability to inspect products closely and handle materials as needed.

Schedule

Full-time with multiple shifts. Overtime, weekends, and extended hours may be required based on business needs.

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct supervisory responsibilities.
