Position Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to support system-level design and product development.
  • Develop, maintain, and modify interior payload system and component designs using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and other engineering methods.
  • Support product definition and design documentation for engineering, manufacturing, production, supplier, and customer requirements.
  • Assist in developing new design and analysis processes, methodologies, and tools to improve engineering quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and manufacturing-related issues.
  • Support design validation activities and compliance with applicable technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to develop production-ready designs.
  • Support Model-Based Design and Systems Engineering activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and design methodologies.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical engineering, design, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CATIA or similar 3D CAD tools.
  • Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with part, component, or product design and integration.
  • Experience supporting validation and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Experience with Model-Based Design and Systems Engineering.
  • Understanding of relational design and engineering data relationships.
  • Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages, such as Visual Basic, Python, or Java.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
