Electrical Engineer - Circuit Design and Analysis

Principal Electrical Engineer

Location: Torrance, CA or Tempe, AZ

Work Setup: 100% onsite initially; hybrid may be available for the right candidate

Experience: 12+ years

Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or equivalent

Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Main Focus:

• Electrical/circuit design for aerospace and electric aircraft/eVTOL systems
• Requirements review using DOORS NG / ELM
• Power, filter, and electrical analysis
• Schematic and PBA layout design
• EMI filter and DO-160 lightning design
• Circuit simulation, troubleshooting, and failure analysis
• BOM generation and board-level design changes
• PDR development and presentation
• Mentor junior engineers on analysis techniques

Must-Have Skills:

• 12+ years of circuit design, integration, and test experience
• Strong electrical/electronic circuit design and analysis
• Analog circuit experience
• Hands-on troubleshooting with lab equipment
• Aerospace electrical/test standards, ideally DO-160 / DO-254
• Ability to lead technical work and guide junior engineers

Nice to Have:

• DxDesigner, LTspice, Simulink, MATLAB, PSIM
• High-power inverter/power electronics experience
• EMI/filter design
• Parts obsolescence and replacement
• Technical investigation reports/white papers

First-Year Subcontract Scope:
Requirements review Electrical/power analysis Teach junior engineers PBA/layout design Electrical design PDR development & presentation.
