Shift Leader – Cold Stone Creamery
Cold Stone Creamery is seeking a dependable, energetic Shift Leader to help supervise daily store operations and deliver an outstanding experience to every guest. The ideal candidate is friendly, responsible, organized, and comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support crew members during assigned shifts
- Provide friendly, accurate, and efficient customer service
- Prepare and serve ice cream, cakes, shakes, smoothies, and other menu items
- Train employees on recipes, portioning, sanitation, and customer-service standards
- Assign tasks and ensure duties are completed correctly
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash accurately
- Complete opening and closing procedures
- Count registers and prepare cash deposits when assigned
- Monitor product quality, inventory, and supply levels
- Receive and properly store deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized store, including counters, equipment, dining areas, and restrooms
- Enforce food-safety, sanitation, attendance, and company policies
- Address customer concerns professionally and notify management when necessary
- Help the team meet sales, labor, cleanliness, and service goals
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and able to lead by example
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable handling money and completing basic calculations
- Able to work independently and make sound decisions
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must meet all applicable age requirements for supervising shifts and handling store responsibilities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, scoop, clean, and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work around freezers and in changing temperatures
