Senior AWS Java Full Stack DeveloperJob Type: Permanent Full-TimeLocations: Lafayette, LA | Knoxville, TN | Columbia, SC | Birmingham, ALPosition Description We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Java Full Stack Developer to join a small, high-performing Agile development team supporting enterprise applications within the financial services industry. This role is ideal for a senior, hands-on developer who can contribute immediately and thrive in a fast-paced environment with high development velocity. The developer will build and enhance cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, and AWS, with responsibility across the full software development lifecycle.Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance cloud-native enterprise applications.
• Develop backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Design and develop REST APIs and distributed services.
• Develop, deploy, and support applications within AWS cloud environments.
• Use Python for application development, automation, and supporting services.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Support and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Develop comprehensive unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Ensure applications are resilient, secure, observable, maintainable, and performant.
• Support application monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and production issues.
• Use GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools to improve development productivity.
• Translate business requirements and technical specifications into working software.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities.
• Take ownership of development activities from requirements through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate closely with senior developers within a small, high-velocity development team.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Java.
• Strong backend development experience using Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on full-stack development experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Strong experience developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Solid Python development experience for application development, automation, or supporting services.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong working knowledge of GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows and automated deployments.
• Experience developing unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Strong understanding of application resiliency, monitoring, logging, performance, and observability.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently drive development work through completion.
• Ability to work effectively within a small, fast-paced development team.
• Experience developing secure, reliable, and maintainable enterprise applications.

• Experience within the financial services or banking industry.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
• Experience working with distributed and cloud-native application environments.
