Senior AWS IAM & Data EngineerJob Type: Permanent Full-TimeHybrid Lafayette, LA | Knoxville, TN | Columbia, SC | Birmingham, ALPosition Overview We are seeking a Senior AWS IAM & Data Engineer to support enterprise cloud identity services and AWS-based data and analytics capabilities within a large-scale financial services environment. This role combines hands-on AWS IAM Identity Center expertise with data engineering and reporting responsibilities using AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, and Lake Formation. This is a senior-level, hands-on engineering role requiring strong expertise across both AWS identity/access management and AWS data technologies.Responsibilities

• Configure and support AWS IAM Identity Center, including identity federation, permission sets, account assignments, account access, and enterprise identity integrations.
• Support AWS IAM capabilities including roles, policies, trust policies, permission boundaries, least-privilege access, cross-account access, and access troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain AWS-based data ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows.
• Build and support ETL/data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
• Work with AWS data technologies including Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, and Lake Formation.
• Develop SQL queries for data analysis, validation, reporting, and troubleshooting data-quality issues.
• Automate cloud, IAM, and data workflows using Python and/or Shell scripting.
• Use Terraform or CloudFormation for AWS infrastructure and configuration automation.
• Troubleshoot complex identity, cloud, and data-related technical issues.
• Independently evaluate technical options and develop production-quality code and automation.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, data, and application engineering teams.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS IAM Identity Center, including:
  • Permission Sets
  • Account Assignments
  • Account Access
  • Identity Federation
  • Enterprise Identity Integrations
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS IAM, including:
  • IAM Roles
  • IAM Policies
  • Trust Policies
  • Permission Boundaries
  • Least-Privilege Access
  • Cross-Account Access
  • IAM Troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services including:
  • Amazon Redshift
  • Amazon S3
  • AWS Glue
  • Amazon Athena
  • AWS Lake Formation
• Experience developing and supporting ETL/data pipelines, data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, or similar technologies.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, analyzing, validating, and troubleshooting datasets.
• Experience with Python and/or Shell scripting.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of enterprise identity federation and AWS multi-account integration patterns.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical problems and build production-quality solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience working within financial services or another highly regulated enterprise environment.
