Inventory Control Clerk-Direct Hire

Kelly®is seeking Inventory Control Clerksto work with a premier manufacturing client in Kearny, NJ.

The Inventory Control Clerk maintains accurate inventory records for materials, equipment, supplies, and stock items in a manufacturing environment. The position supports receiving, production planning, engineering changes, bills of material, inventory accuracy, shipping records, and physical inventory activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Track deliveries of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in company systems.
• Use SAP and other computer applications to enter and retrieve inventory information.
• Support SAP Production Planning and Control activities.
• Enter engineering change information into SAP.
• Identify raw-material and component requirements based on engineering information.
• Maintain bills of material within the inventory database.
• Participate in physical inventory counts.
• Investigate shipping and inventory discrepancies.
• Create and compile daily orders.
• Review booked orders and inventory requirements.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, production, sales-order, and product-test records.
• Organize and file inventory documentation.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations related to inventory.
• Maintain quality and accuracy throughout inventory-control activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous warehouse inventory or supply-chain experience.
• Familiarity with SAP Production Planning and Control preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
